You will need an ice cream machine for this recipe.
This is an old Swedish recipe for simple ice cream. We use it as a base and add "flavor of the day".
4 egg yolks
1.25 dl sugar (1/2 cup)
2 dl whipping cream (0.85 cup)
2 dl 2% milk (0.85 cup)
1 Tbs vanilla extract or other flavor of choice
Whisk egg yolks and sugar until fluffy and light in color. Add liquid whipping cream and milk. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Pour the mixture into the ice cream machine and churn until mixture has the consistency of ice cream. Freeze a few hours before serving.
